SSC MTS Exam is a national-level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for selecting candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments and offices of the Government of India. SSC MTS Notification 2024 was released on announcing 9583 MTS and Havaldar vacancies (revised vacancies) at the official website www.ssc.gov.in for which computer-based test will be conducted from 30th September to 14th November 2024. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) Examination to recruit candidates for 9583 non-technical positions in different ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India. Every year lakhs of SSC aspirants after completing their 10th class appear for the exam to get shortlisted for the following posts.

Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar Exam) every year and the selection process is as follows:

Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) released the SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Notification pdf to recruit candidates for 9583 vacancies for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN). The SSC MTS examination will be conducted from 30th September to 14th November 2024 through an online objective test and the Havaldar exam comprises a Computer Based Examination (Objective test) and a Physical Test. SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2024 has been released along with a Notification pdf. For this year, the Staff Selection Commission has revised vacancies and the total number of vacancies as on 31st July 2024 is 9583. Previously 4887 Multi Tasking Staff vacancies were announced which now have been increased to 6144 and Havaldar vacancies in CBIC and CBN remain the same 3439. There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfill to be eligible for the SSC MTS 2024 Exam. Before filling out the applications for SSC MTS Exam, the candidates must know the minimum required SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification, and age limit. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

A candidate is required to be

1. A citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal
3. Subject of Bhutan
4. Tibetan Refugee
5. Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

The age limits for both SSC MTS and Havaldar posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)- A candidate must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age, candidates born not before 02-08-1999 and not later than 01-08-2006.

Havaldar Age Limit- A candidate must be of a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 27 years of age, candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue.

Apart from the pre-mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS 2024 Exam. There is no minimum percentage requirement in class 10th. 

The SSC MTS Online Application process has been started at the official website www.ssc.gov.in. The last date to apply online for the SSC MTS 2024 exam has been notified for 3rd August 2024. The candidates can apply online through the official website with the help of the steps given below: 

1. Do visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) i.e. www.ssc.gov.in.
2. Click on the "Apply" button at the right corner of the homepage and then click on the link for “Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination,2024”.
3. Register for the exam.
4. Now, proceed to fill out the application form including your educational qualification, age, category, exam center etc.
5. Pay the application fee.
6. Take the printout of the application form for future reference.

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2024 is Rs. 100/-. The payment of the application fee can be made only through online payment modes such as Net-Banking, Credit/Debit cards and BHIM, UPI etc.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee.

For the first time, the SSC MTS computer-based exam will be held in "English, Hindi and 13 regional languages" and the candidates have to choose their choice of language while filling out their application form.

The eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment will be shortlisted based on three stages. A candidate needs to qualify in each stage with marks more than the cut-off announced. The three stages to be cleared are as below- 

Stage 1- Paper-1 (Objective)

Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

SSC MTS 2024 will be examined in 2 different levels: Paper-1, PET/PST (only for havaldar). Paper 1 is an online exam that is an objective multiple-choice question type. 

The revised SSC MTS Paper 1 Exam Pattern has been released along with the SSC MTS Notification 2024. Ther Paper 1 pattern is the same for both posts There will be a Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session 1.

Note: The SSC MTS written exam is divided into 2 sections. There will be no negative marking in Session 1 and there shall be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Session 2.

The level of the SSC MTS Exam so far is Easy to Moderate level. Based on the previous year's analysis, the following are some important topics that need to be focussed on by the candidates who are going to appear for the upcoming SSC MTS CBT Exam. The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories. According to the 7th pay commission, the in-hand SSC MTS salary lies in the range of 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month with a pay band of (Rs.5200 – 20200) depending of the job post and city allocated.

SSC conducts SSC MTS Exam every year at various centres all across the country. Candidates are given the option to select the centre of their choice while filling in the application form. The final allotment of the centre by SSC is done based on the choice of the candidate. If in any case there is an unavailability of seats in the selected Centre, SSC will change the location as per the availability. Candidates do not hold the authority to question SSC for the same.

Staff Selection Commission firstly releases the SSC MTS Application Status followed by the release of the SSC MTS Admit Card for each stage. The candidates have to download SSC MTS 2024 Admit Card from the official website only as no hard or soft copy will be sent to the candidates. 

Staff Selection Commission will upload the SSC MTS Tier 1 Answer Key on the official website around a month after the exam is conducted. SSC MTS Provisional Answer Key is released first followed by the final answer key. No answer key will be released for the SSC MTS Tier-2 and Skill test. The candidates have to download the SSC MTS Answer Key using their registration number & password from the official website only.

SSC MTS Cut-off is the minimum score that aspirants taking the exam will have to obtain in order to move to the next stage of the exam. The cutoff will be released twice, first for Paper 1 (Tier-1) and second for Paper 2(Tier-2). Cutoffs are released along with the result declaration.

SSC MTS exam do stages me hota hai:

• Paper 1: Ye computer-based exam hai jo objective type hota hai. Isme 4 sections hote hain:

Har section 25 marks ka hota hai, aur poore paper ka total 100 marks ka hota hai. Is exam ka duration 90 minutes hota hai. English section ko chhod kar, exam bilingual hota hai (Hindi aur English dono mein).

• Paper 2: Descriptive paper hota hai jo writing ability ko test karta hai. Isme aapko 150-200 words ka essay ya letter likhna hota hai, aur ye 50 marks ka hota hai. Paper 2 qualifying nature ka hota hai.

Syllabus ko samajhna SSC MTS preparation ka sabse pehla aur zaruri step hai. Isse aapko pata chalega ki kaunse important topics hain aur kis topic par kitna focus karna hai.

• General English: Comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, synonyms-antonyms, sentence structure, spotting errors jaise topics cover kiye jaate hain. Basic grammar rules, commonly used idioms aur phrases ko achhi tarah se samajhna zaruri hai.
• General Intelligence and Reasoning: Is section me analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving jaise topics hote hain. Verbal aur non-verbal reasoning ki practice bahut zaruri hai.
• Numerical Aptitude: Number systems, simplifications, percentages, ratio and proportion, time and work, data interpretation jaise important topics is section me aate hain. Isme accuracy aur speed ka development bahut zaruri hai.
• General Awareness: Current affairs, history, geography, economic science, general policy jaise topics ko dhyan se padhein. Static GK aur current affairs dono ko cover karna zaruri hai.

Ek effective study plan tayar karna sabse zaruri hai. Aapke study plan me regularity, proper time allocation aur smart approach honi chahiye. Aayiye jaante hain ki SSC MTS ke liye study plan kaise banayein.

Roz ke study plan ko achhi tarah se organize karna chahiye. Har section ke liye specific hours allocate karein:

• Subah: Morning time me Numerical Aptitude ya Reasoning ki practice karein kyunki isme fresh mind ki zarurat hoti hai.
• Dopeher: Lunch ke baad General English par focus karein. Vocabulary aur grammar rules ko revise karte rahen.
• Shaam: Shaam ko General Awareness ki preparation karein. Current affairs aur static GK ko revise karte rahen.

• Weekly Targets: Har week kuch specific topics ko cover karne ka target set karein. Jaise ek week me number systems aur ratio-proportion ki practice karein aur doosre week me English ki comprehension aur grammar ko revise karein.
• Monthly Review: Har month ke end me aap apne preparation ka ek mock test lein aur weak areas ko identify karke usme improvement karein.

Time management competitive exams ke liye sabse important factor hota hai. Exam preparation ke dauran aur exam ke samay dono me time ko achhi tarah manage karna jaruri hota hai.

• Daily Study Hours: Har subject ke liye fix time allocate karein. Sabhi subjects ko equal time dene ki koshish karein, apne strong topics par zyada time waste na karein.
• Practice with Timer: Mock tests ya questions solve karte waqt timer ka use karein. Isse speed aur accuracy dono me sudhaar hota hai.

• Easy Sections Pehle Attempt Karein: Exam ke dauran sabse pehle apne strong subjects ko attempt karein, jisse confidence badhta hai aur jaldi marks secure ho jaate hain.
• Difficult Questions Pe Time Waste Na Karein: Agar kisi question me fas jaate hain, toh usse chhod kar aage badhein aur time waste na karein.

SSC MTS exam me success ke liye regular practice bahut zaruri hai. Practice aapko speed aur accuracy dono me madad karegi.
